Heraklion is the most vibrant region all over Crete. It’s home to the capital of the island, also known as Heraklion, as well as of one of the most visited landmarks in Crete, the Knossos Palace.

The northern coastal area of the region is overpopulated with hotels and resorts. Yet, moving a few kilometers south is enough to discover the magnificent vineyard of Heraklion.

Lasithi Region

Lasithi is the easternmost region in Crete, a place where life runs at a different pace and where unique landscapes and places to see will not stop surprising you.

The main touristic city in the region is Agios Nikolaos, nestled in the Mirabello Gulf, on the Cretan Sea. Agios Nikolaos is also the capital city of the region.

Suggestive array of seaside resorts, traditional villages, and breathtaking nature. The capital of the region, on northern coast is Rethymnon and is the third most important region in Crete.

The region is also home to Mount Psiloritis, the highest peak on the island, surrounded by beautiful valleys and stunning caves open for you to explore.

Chania is arguably one of the most interesting places to visit on the island. The landscape of the region is dominated by the White Mountains, or Lefka Ori.
Chania’s extensive coast of Chania harbors some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including Elafonisi, Balos, and Falasarna. The region is home to unique mountain villages, guardians of legends and stories.
